UKG monthly meetings move to Rock Bottom in Warrenville on the last Wednesday of every month! Details here.

The Urban Knaves of Grain (UKG) are the oldest and largest homebrew club in DuPage County, Illinois. We are dedicated to the art of brewing great beer, mead, and cider at home.

We offer a variety of activities and resources for homebrewers at all levels, from beginner to experienced, not to mention just plain fun stuff. Workshops, picnics, outings, competitions, meetings, pub crawls, brew-ins...even a song...we have them all.

In 1999, we were co-winners of the American Homebrewers Association's Homebrew Club of the Year award.  The award is presented every year to the homebrew club whose members score the most points in the AHA's National Homebrew Competition--the largest homebrew competition in the world--and in AHA Club-Only Competitions throughout the year.

Our very own homebrew competition, the Drunk Monk Challenge, is held every year in March. Each year it attracts around 700+ entries from all over the country, making it one of the largest competitions in the USA.  Check out the Drunk Monk Challenge 2011 winners here.
