| Aug. 9 | Great Taste of the Midwest, Olin-Turville Park, Madison, WI, sponsored by the Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild. This is the largest craft beer fest in the Midwest and the 2nd oldest in the US, with about 400 beers from about 100 breweries. No tickets sold at the gate; advance ticket purchase is required. To buy a ticket on your own, your mail order must be postmarked on exactly May 1 (not earlier); the festival sells out in 1 day and a lottery is held to fill the orders received. CBS organizes bus trips, which include a fest ticket (you must be a CBS member by the end of April to ride the CBS buses.) The CBS buses have now sold out. |
